Again in the 2007-2008 school year, the Student Teacher Pipeline to the Future coordinated a special Co-Teaching opportunity in Philadelphia Public Schools (including charters). At the invitation of the cooperating teacher (from the first or second semester), Student Teachers & Practicum/Field Experience Students were eligible to apply to work with their cooperating teacher as a "co-teacher" after completing student teaching or practicum field experience.

Materials for the Co-Teaching Opportunity were been sent to all teachers who served as cooperating teachers during the 2007-2008 school year.

Dates: May 12 - June 19 (28 days)
A minimum commitment of 4 weeks is required. The full six weeks is strongly encouraged.

Professional Development:
Both the cooperating teacher and the "co-teacher" must attend one of two professionl development sessions.
- May 13 or May 15: 4:00PM - 7:00PM
- United Way Building - 7 Benjamin Franklin Parkway

Compensation:
Co-teachers will be paid a stipend of $80 per day. The stipend will be issued in one check at the end of the summer. The teachers of record will receive a $250 stipend for their patricipation and attendance at Professional Development.
