Financial Support & Benefits

Philadelphia Teacher Residency (PTR) is not a free program. But if your goal to become a teacher in Philadelphia, it’s the deal of a lifetime! PTR does not charge for your participation, we provide various forms of financial support for you to transition into a dynamic career and obtain your Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE).

As a Resident, your two primary expenses are Penn GSE tuition and your personal living expenses during the intensive Residency year.
