EDDY Awards

"Celebrating the power and potential of Philadelphia public education"

Thank you for joining us at our 2014 EDDY Awards!

Presented by

Now in its 10th year, the EDDYs continue to be an important education event and annual fundraiser, which recognizes outstanding commitment to public education by individuals, organizations and businesses.

Each year, generous individuals and institutions provide the support needed to help improve public education for all of Philadelphia’s youth. This year was no exception; the 2014 EDDYs raised the most funds ever through this program—over $185,000!

You can still support our work and join other generous donors who, like you, care about public education.

Once again, congratulations to the 2014 EDDY Awardees:

* Pedro Ramos, former School Reform Commission Chairman, Managing Director and City Solicitor, received the Star Alumnus EDDY Award.

* Wells Fargo & Company, a nationwide, diversified, community-based financial services company, received the Star Business Commitment to Education EDDY Award.

* Simon Hauger, innovative educator, received the Star Commitment to Education EDDY Award.

* Justina McMinn, a Roxborough High School senior, received the Rising Star EDDY Award.

You can read more about our awardees on the EDDYs news page.

Our thanks again to Wells Fargo, our presenting sponsor, WHYY, our media sponsor and host of the EDDY Awards, and to all of our key and supporting sponsors listed below.

If you want to relive that inspirational evening, or if you were unable to attend, please watch this WHYY-produced video of the program. (will be available soon)
