On October 24, Board Member Don Haskin and his wife Lynn Haskin, event co-chairs for the EDDY Awards, opened their home to supporters and sponsors of the EDDYs for the inaugural VIP Preview Party.
Amongst mixing and mingling, the four EDDY Award Winners - the 2011 Stars of Public Education - were officially introduced at the Preview Party:
Dr. Walter P. Lomax, Star Alumnus EDDY Award
Carole Haas Gravagno, Star Commitment to Education EDDY Award
John & Kira's Chocolates, Star Business Commitment to Education EDDY Award
Tamanna Sultana, Rising Star EDDY Award.
Executive Director Carol Fixman thanked the supporters and sponsors of the EDDYs for their leadership support of the Philadelphia Education Fund and taking a special investment in quality public education.
